Pure Honey Simple Syrup Recipe
Pure Honey has shared their recipe for a simple syrup to add to cocktails, coffees hot or cold, teas, use as a sugar replacement for homemade salad dressings, drizzle over poached fruit, add to marinades, and add to your morning cup of oatmeal.
ROSEMARY SYMPLE SYRUP
Ingredients:
2 cups water
3 tablespoons fresh rosemary coarsely chopped
Directions:
Bring honey and water to a boil. Stir and let the ingredients boil for one minute, make sure the honey dissolves in the water. Let the ingredients simmer on low for three minutes. Stir occasionally. Let the syrup sit and soak in the rosemary for one hours. Then strain the rosemary out. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. The syrup will last for one month in the fridge. For a strong rosemary taste let the rosemary soak in the syrup overnight.
LAVENDER SIMPLE SYRUP
Ingredients:
2 cups water
1 ½ cup wildflower or lavender infused honey
4 tablespoons of dried lavender
Directions:
Bring honey and water to a boil. Stir and let the ingredients boil for one minute, make sure the honey dissolves in the water. Let the ingredients simmer on low for three minutes. Stir occasionally. Let the syrup sit and soak in the Lavender for one hours. Then strain the Lavender out. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. The syrup will last for one month in the fridge. For a strong lavender taste let the lavender buds soak in the simple syrup overnight.
